The invention relates to a method for operating a mobile telephone 2 in a motor vehicle having a handsfree device 12 installed in the motor vehicle, whereinthe mobile telephone 2 has a display 4, and the handsfree device 12 has an electrical controller 14, characterized in that information is sent from the mobile telephone 2 to the electrical controller 12, is processed therein and is then sent to the mobile telephone 2 before being displayed on the display device 4. Thus, the handsfree device does not have a display device. Instead, the display device of the mobile telephone is used as a display device. Nevertheless, information to be displayed is sent from the mobile telephone to the electrical controller first of all and is displayed on the display device of the mobile telephone only after having been edited in said electrical controller and returned to the mobile telephone. The handsfree device and/or loudspeaker and microphone can therefore be concealed in the vehicle and the display of the mobile telephone used instead of a separate display. |
