PURPOSE: A dimple forming roller and a method for manufacturing a seal where a dimple is formed are provided to form a dimple by heating and pressing the surface of a seal made of materials with high hardness such as an engineering plastic at a time, thereby minimizing restoration deformation and facilitating the formation of the dimple. CONSTITUTION: A dimple forming roller is formed to have a circumference shape and has multiple protrusions (22) on the outer circumference to form a dimple (12) on the surface of a seal (10) made of an engineering plastic. A heater (24) is installed inside the dimple forming roller and heats and presses the seal to form the dimple.
