The device has a test-membrane (11) provided with test fluid (8) between a wall of a membrane tank (2) and a main membrane (6). The test-membrane is surrounded by water (4) and/or foaming concentrate (5). A flow rate measuring device (9) is arranged in an extinguishing pipeline (3) between the test-membrane and a mixer (1). The test-membrane is arranged in a separate container (16). A test connector (10) is arranged in the extinguishing pipeline after the mixer in a direction towards a fire extinguishing device. A gauge glass is arranged in the pipeline. An independent claim is also included for a method for determining a mixing rate.
