The sensor system (100) comprises a touch sensor (130) comprising one or more electrodes, one or more connection pads (180,182) electrically connected to the electrodes, a protective coating (190) formed over the connection pads, and a circuit (170) electrically connected to the connection pads such that signals from one or more connection pads can be communicated to the circuit. The circuit is mechanically and electrically connected with the touch sensor through an anisotropic conductive film (ACF), and/or an anisotropic conductive paste (ACP).
