<p>The invention provides a control apparatus and control method of rolling equipment which restrain equipment investment and can perform rolling at a very low velocity. The rolling equipment has a controller. The rolling equipment has a decoiler; at least one rolling mill; a coiler; and a plurality of motors respectively driving the decoiler, the rolling mill and the coiler. The controller of the rolling equipment has: an inverter, which is connected to these motors, and controls the revolution rate and/or torquemoment of each motor by performing operations to the voltages and/or torquemoment of each motor; a primary frequency detection unit, detecting the primary frequency of the inverter; and a control unit, which controls the inverter based on the detected primary frequency of the inverter, and conrols the revolution rate and/ortorquemoment of each motor so that the primary frequency of the inverter will not be zero.</p> |
