A spacer profile (1) for use as part of a spacer profile frame is disclosed, which is suitable for being mounted in and/or along an edge area of an insulating glazing unit (50) for forming and maintaining an intervening space (53) between glazing panes (51, 52).
The profile body (10) is formed from a first heat insulating material and, comprises outer side walls (11, 12) having a distance (b2) in the transverse direction, each side wall (11, 12) having an inner protrusion (16a, 16b) protruding towards the opposite side wall (12, 11) in the same second height (hp), and
a diffusion barrier film (30) firmly bonded with the profile body (10), and, extending over the profile body (10) on the outer side of the spacer profile and continuous thereto in the height direction (y) on the outside of the side walls and/or in the same to the second height (hp) and into the protrusions (16a, 16b). |
