<p>Two-layered polyester film, which is co-extruded and biaxially oriented, comprises a base layer (b) made of a polyester including at least 80 mole% ethylene terephthalate component, and at least one covering layer (a) consisting of a polyester including at least 80 mole% diol component based on 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol. An independent claim is also included for producing the above mentioned co-extruded and biaxially oriented polyester film, comprising (i) melting raw materials of individual film layers in separate extruders, co-extruding through a flat die, (ii) removing the resulting extrudate and quenching for solidification on at least one roll as an amorphous prefilm, (iii) reheating the prefilm and biaxially stretching, and (iv) thermofixing the biaxially oriented film and winding the film into a roll.</p> |
