<p>A flow control device 10 comprises flow control rings 14 defining flow control ports 22 of apertures 24 with liners 25 which are configured to receive a number of rod-like flow restriction members 26 inserted into at least some of the flow control ports 22 so as to define a predetermined flow restriction through the flow control rings 14 for controlling fluid flow, such as in oil and/or gas wells. Each flow control ring 14 is configured to be sealingly mounted onto a base pipe 27 and a tubular housing 12 is sealingly mounted on the flow control ring 14. The flow restriction members 26 may be adjustable, removable and replaceable, such as screw coupled into the flow control ports 22, to enable re-configuration to alter the flow characteristics such as the pressure drop through the flow control device 10.</p> |
