An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to form a fixing type cube spacer by means of an ink-jet device and to drop aqueous materials into the circumference of the cube spacer, thereby easily fixing the cube spacer. The first and second substrates are located oppositely. A cube spacer(250) is adhered at a predetermined portion of one between the first and second substrates and contacted with the surface of the other substrate. A liquid crystal layer is filled between the first and second substrates. An adhesive is formed between the cube spacer and the adhered surface of the cube spacer. The length of a side of the cube spacer is about 2 to 5 micro-meter. A gate line and a data line are formed on the first substrate(110) and define a pixel area. A thin film transistor is formed at the portion crossing the gate line and data line. A pixel electrode is formed on the pixel area. |
