A femoral jig 1 is shaped to have the overall profile of a femoral prosthetic component of a specific side and size. It incorporates an anterior reference arm 3 having a cutting guide 4 located on it, or a means for attaching such a guide. The arm may have an adjustment screw 5 to permit a surgeon to visualise the anterior fit of a prosthesis one size up. The jig may include captive pins in apertures 6 and drill guide apertures 7. The jig may have a removable handle (figure 14A) on which is mounted a laser or a rod for checking alignment (figure 15A & 15B). Also disclosed is a tibial jig (figures 9-13) with posts (22, figure 9A) extending down from a tibial plate (21, figure 10) and a set of tibial thickness spacers (figure 17). |
