PURPOSE: An online market service system based on a virtual map and a method thereof are provided to open a store of a member on a place in a virtual map, and change the appearance of the store according to trading achievement of the store, thereby letting the member be motivated to promote the store while giving the feeling like owning a real store of his/her own. CONSTITUTION: A virtual map management unit (31) generates and manages a virtual map including a plurality of store locations. A store opening unit (32) receives a store opening request from a terminal of a member and opens a store of the member in one of the plurality of store locations in the virtual map. A store management unit (33) changes the appearance of the store according to trade achievement of the store.
