A remote system control method and a terminal therefor are provided to deliver display information in a text type when necessary, to deliver information only of the currently activated window, or to control data quality according to a signal transmission rate, thereby considerably improving a prior speed problem. A mobile terminal(300) comprises as follows. A controller(370) connects with a remote system(100) through a signal processor(350) to receive at least one menu for controlling the remote system(100) from the remote system(100), and displays the received menus in a text type on a display(310). If at least one of the menus is selected by a user through an input unit(360), the controller(370) controls the selected menus to be transmitted to the remote system(100) through the signal processor(350). |
