PURPOSE: A parking brake apparatus for a vehicle is provided to generate comparable braking power in forward and backward direction of a vehicle by equally pressurized each brake shoe due to operating a first and a second rotating lever together. CONSTITUTION: A parking brake apparatus for a vehicle comprises: a first and a second brake shoes(21,22) which are installed in the both sides of a drum(20) which rotates with a wheel; and an operating lever(30) which presses the both brake shoes to the inside of the drum by operating of a parking cable. The operating lever comprises: a supporting lever(31) whose both ends are supported the first and the second brake shoes; and a first and a second rotating levers(32,33) which are combined with the both ends of the supporting lever. |
