This imaging device is provided with a lens optical system (L), an imaging element (N) having a plurality of first and second pixels (P1, P2), and an arrayed optical element (K). The lens optical system (L) includes a first optical region (D1) that primarily transmits light oscillating in a first polarization axis direction, and a second optical region (D2) that transmits light oscillating in all directions. The arrayed optical element (K) causes the light transmitted through the first optical region (D1) to enter the plurality of first pixels (P1), and causes the light transmitted through the second optical region (D2) to enter the plurality of second pixels (P2).
