PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a release control composition which release a pharmaceutically active agent for a long period of time and exhibits not only proper drug release properties but also melt processing characteristics suitable to drug support and has elasticity at body temperature.SOLUTION: A pharmaceutical release control composition comprises a water swellable linear polymer obtained by a reaction of polyethylene glycol, polypropylene glycol, a diol and a diisocyanate, and a pharmaceutically active agent. A release control composition includes the water swellable linear polymer obtained by a reaction of polyethylene glycol, polypropylene glycol, a diol and a diisocyanate, wherein the molar ratio of the components (i):(ii):(iii):(iv) is 1:1:1:3. |
