The method involves using crude gas (3) as a fluidized medium, and carrying out cooling and removal of tar components from the crude gas. The crude gas is cooled indirectly in a fluidized bed cooler (1) and simultaneously contacted with a solid as a fluidizable. The fluidizable has adsorptive properties. The cooling of the fluidized bed takes place with the boiling water by a cooling register (2). The temperature is maintained in the cooling register by stabilized pressure.
