PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earthquake-resistant joint coupler which is easily deformed to follow the displacement at a side mass junction, capable of bearing inflowing earth-water pressure.SOLUTION: Stacked concrete side masses include an upper-side concrete side mass having an inner wall surface which entirely or partly forms a cone-shaped slope. An earthquake-resistant joint coupler 1 fixed inside the concrete side masses across a junction includes a cylindrical joint coupler body 2 corresponding to the inner periphery of a lower-side concrete side mass, having a flexible sheet backing formed from a synthetic resin with high tensile strength. A folded part 3 developable in the axial direction is arranged in the circumferential direction at the trunk center of the cylindrical joint coupler body 2. A concrete side mass adhesion surface 4 is provided on the outer periphery of the trunk parts 2a and 2b at both sides of the folded part 3. A synthetic fiber sheet 5 is welded to the concrete side mass adhesion surface 4. The outer wall surface 6 of the trunk part 2a on one side of the folded part 3 of the cylindrical joint coupler body 2 has a shape corresponding to the cone-shaped slope of the upper-side concrete side mass.
