PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotational type position detection device having a compact and simple structure.SOLUTION: A coil part includes at least two pairs of coils excited by a one-phase AC signal, and the coils of a pair are separated from each other with a space corresponding to a predetermined rotational angle. A magnetic response member is configured such that the relative rotational positions of the member and the coil part change according to the rotation of a detection target, the impedance of the coil is changed according to the relative rotational positions, a voltage generated in the coil increases/decreases while the relative rotational positions change within a predetermined rotational angle range on the basis of the change of the impedance, and the increase/decrease change of the voltage of each coil of one pair of coils exhibits differential characteristics, and is formed into a shape so as to bring an impedance change of a period per rotation of a rotary shaft. By obtaining a difference in output voltages between coils of the pair, an AC output signal where a predetermined periodic function is an amplitude coefficient is generated for each coil pair. |
