摘要 The present invention is a position detection method for a touch panel which has a first resistive film upon which a first electrode and a second electrode are provided upon both ends in a first direction and a second resistive film upon which a third electrode and a fourth electrode are provided upon both ends in a second direction which is orthogonal to the first direction. The position detection method in the touch panel is characterized in that in a state in which a power supply voltage is applied to the first electrode and the second electrode is grounded, the potential at the first electrode is measured so as to measure the distance between two points of tactile contact in the first direction, and in a state in which a power supply voltage is applied to the third electrode and the fourth electrode is grounded, the potential at the third electrode is measured so as to measure the distance between two points of connection in the second direction, whereupon the distance between the two points of tactile contact in the first direction obtained from the potential at the first electrode is corrected on the basis of the distance between the two points of tactile contact in the second direction obtained from the potential at the third electrode.
