The device (4) has electrical contacts (7) arranged on a region (5) of a test plug (3). The plug includes another region (8), which allows fastening between a socket and the plug. The former region is separated from the latter region. Dimensions of the latter region match with dimensions of a plug that is comparable to the test plug. The test plug includes measuring cells (9) in the latter region to determine a proportional contact normal force in the socket when the test plug is inserted. Signals are transferred from the cells into the former region for evaluation by an electrical contact. An independent claim is also included for a method for testing a socket by a test plug of a high-miniaturized plug-socket testing device.
