A variable valve lift apparatus of an engine for vehicles is provided to operate a CDA by equipping an adjusting unit capable of adjusting a lift by a left and right moving distance of a conical roller in a swing arm between a cam and a valve, and thus controlling each of cylinder individually. A variable valve lift apparatus of an engine for vehicles comprises a lift adjusting unit(8) controlling the drive height of a swing arm(6) depending on the rotation range of an engine. The lift adjusting unit consists of a pair of conical rollers(26,28) placed on the supportive shaft of the swing arm, rotating around and sliding along it; a central stopper limiting the closing distance of the conical rollers between them; a pair of expansion limiting stoppers restricting the separation distance of the conical rollers; a low speed hydraulic chamber separating the conical rollers with hydraulic pressure of the hydraulic pressure control device; and a high speed hydraulic chamber closely approaching the conical rollers from each other with hydraulic pressure from the hydraulic pressure control device. |
