The decelerating factor-estimating device (1), which estimates decelerating factors of a vehicle (2), comprises: a driving force-acquiring unit (62) that acquires the driving force of the vehicle (2); a vehicle speed-acquiring unit (60) that acquires the speed of the vehicle (2); an acceleration-acquiring unit (61) that acquires the acceleration of the vehicle (2); and decelerating factor-estimating units (63, 64, 65, 68) that estimate multiple decelerating factors on the basis of relationships between the acquired driving force, speed, and acceleration. The decelerating factor-estimating units (63, 64, 65, 68) determine the kind of decelerating factor to be estimated based on the vehicle traveling conditions, and when the estimated value of a first decelerating factor is converging, increase the range of vehicle traveling conditions under which a second decelerating factor is estimated compared to when the estimated value of the first decelerating factor is not converging. |
