PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical fitting connector which is fitted and connected in a direction perpendicular to the surface of a substrate and in which damage on the connector and a cable can be prevented by a relatively simple structure, even if the cable crimped to the contact is wired in the surface direction of the substrate.SOLUTION: A connector 1 is configured so that plug contacts 30 and receptacle contacts 80 come into contact with each other, when a plug housing 20 and a receptacle housing 60 are fitted in a direction perpendicular to a substrate B, thus connecting a plug connector 10 and a receptacle connector 50 electrically. Cables C are crimped to the receptacle contacts 80 while aligning their respective axial directions, and the fitting direction of the plug housing 20 and receptacle housing 60 is substantially orthogonal to the connection direction of the receptacle contacts 80 and the cables C. |
