The method involves providing a conveyer system (2) with a belt (4) and a driving drum that is utilized for driving the belt. Rotational torque is controlled for changing velocity of the belt within a time slot that is defined by rotation speeds of a driving drum (6), where the rotational torque is provided on the driving drum. One of the rotation speeds is set smaller than the other rotation speed, and the rotational torque is controlled within the time slot in such a manner that the rotational torque is monotonically raised. An independent claim is also included for a conveyor system. |
