A color filter substrate of an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) for controlling the viewing angle and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to form a common line on the same layer as the second common electrode simultaneously, thereby simplifying the structure of an LCD panel. A black matrix for dividing sub pixel areas is formed on a substrate. Color filters are formed at a portion of the pixel areas. An over coat layer(39) is coated on the substrate including the color filters. Common electrodes are formed on the over coat layer at the upper portion of the pixel areas with no color filters. A common line(35C) is formed on the same layer as the common electrodes so that the edges of the common electrodes are connected with each other. The common line is formed by a net shape. The common line is made of the same materials as the common electrodes. The common line with the net shape connects the second common electrodes in parallel with each other so that the level of the common voltage supplied to the second common electrode is equalized. |
