Class 97(1) A pair of spectacles for use by motorists while driving at night has fixed lenses each having a translucent crescentshaped portion at the top and a part only of the right-hand or left-hand side depending on whether the spectacles are for use in left-hand or right-hand driving respectively. The chord 15 joining the horns 16, 17 of the translucent portion 12, which may be a gold coating, may be inclined to the horizontal at angles between 10 degrees and 40 degrees, and the portion 12 may occupy approximately 30 per cent of the lens surface.
