PURPOSE: A metal seal is provided to correspond to a condition in which fluid pressure is high enough and to fully perform sealing ability without plastic deformation. CONSTITUTION: A metal seal comprises a thin metal seal (1) and a metal reinforcement outside fitting member (3). The thin metal seal has a U- or tulip-shaped cross section and a small convex part (2) on the front end. The metal reinforcement outside fitting member has a concavo groove (4) for fitting and a U-shaped cross section. The deformation of a bottom wall part (5) and of a sidewall part (6) of the thin metal sheet, which is caused by water pressure, is restrained by fitting the bottom wall part and the sidewall part into the concavo groove. |
