Chipper knife for producing of the wood chips comprises a cutting wedge (1), on which there are the grooves (3) uniformly placed on the front part of the cutting wedge (1). The size of a semi-circular groove (3) is given by a length (31), a pitch (32), a width (33) and by a diameter (34) of the groove. The groove (3) is completed by a rounding off (35) or by a slope.
