PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle drive apparatus which can reduce resistance of a bearing part where a wheel is supported by an axle, and allow the wheel to rotate readily at a high speed.SOLUTION: A vehicle drive apparatus includes: a wheel 11 inside which a magnet 16 such as a permanent magnet is fixed; an axle 12; a bearing 13 constituted of a permanent magnet and rotatably coupling the wheel 11 to the axle 12; a stator 14 constituted of a stator coil 15 fixed to the axle 12 and interacting with the magnet 16 to generate a turning force; and a levitation unit for causing the axle 12 to exert a levitation force against the bearing 13 by an electromagnetic force generated by the bearing 13 and an electromagnet 17. A conducting wire of the electromagnet 17 is led to a vehicle side through an interior of the axle 12. |
