This control device for an internal combustion engine is equipped with fuel injection valves (12), which are able to inject fuel directly into the cylinders, and which include: a needle valve (12b) at the tip of which is a seat-contacting part (12b1); and a nozzle body (12a) equipped with a seat part (12a1) with which the seat-contacting part (12b1) makes contact, a fuel accumulation part (12d) formed downstream from the seat part (12a1), and multiple spray holes (12e) formed downstream from the seat part (12a1). The control device executes a fuel injection amount learning control whereby the fuel injection amount is learned. Furthermore, before executing a learning-use fuel injection for the purpose of learning control, the control device executes a pre-learning fuel injection. |
