PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact centrifugal pump device able to be smoothly activated for rotation of an impeller.SOLUTION: A centrifugal blood pump device includes: an impeller 10 provided within a blood chamber 7; a permanent magnet 15 arranged on one side surface of the impeller 10; a permanent magnet 16 arranged on an inner wall of the blood chamber 7; a plurality of permanent magnets 17 arranged on the another side surface of the impeller 10; and a plurality of sets of magnetic bodies 18 and coils 20, which are arranged in a motor chamber 8 and rotationally drive the impeller 10 via a partition wall 6. The respective magnetic bodies 18 are formed in a columnar shape. Thus, the impeller 10 can be smoothly started for rotation by controlling a coil current. |
