PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diffused reflected light output conversion method capable of reducing approximate error in calculating a correction coefficient in a sticking amount conversion algorithm, a powder sticking amount conversion method, and an image forming device.SOLUTION: A gradation pattern 70 formed on a detection object surface 18 is detected by optical detection means 40. A sticking amount conversion algorithm utilizing regular reflected light and diffused reflected light and consisting of the following flow: (1) output conversion (regular reflection output → calculation of a regular reflected light output conversion value (normalized value); (2) output conversion (diffused reflected light output → calculation of a diffused reflected light output conversion value); (3) approximation; (4) correction of the diffused reflected light output conversion value (calculation of a correction coefficient and conversion of the diffused reflected light output), recording means, and arithmetic means, utilizes also stored data in addition to data newly acquired when obtaining the correction coefficient in the sticking amount conversion algorithm when obtaining the correction coefficient in (3) and (4) of the sticking amount conversion algorithm, and calculates the correction coefficient by the arithmetic means. |
