PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alternative method for searching an electronic database by using at least one search criterion.SOLUTION: A method of querying structure of compressed data comprising records stored as a forest of binary comprises a step for generating an instruction set allowing a specific data value with a binary tree to be retrieved, by giving input of an address in a memory that identifies the binary tree. Further querying functions which utilize the instruction set allow selection of the records on the basis of one or more specific data values, or ranges of data values, statistical analysis of the records, and grouping of the records on the basis of common data values within fields of the records. |
