The present invention provides a method for separating an active hydrogen-containing compound (A) and a compound (B) that reversibly reacts with the compound (A) from each other, which comprises: a step of separating the compound (A) and/or the compound (B) by distillation with use of a multi-stage distillation column from a mixture that contains the compound (A) and the compound (B); and a step of supplying the mixture to an inactive part that is formed within the multi-stage distillation column.
