PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active material dispersion liquid for formation of an electrode of a lithium ion secondary battery which is stable after at least one month of storage and is thereafter applicable for formation of the electrode of the lithium ion secondary battery without any problem.SOLUTION: An active material dispersion liquid contains: an active material; a polar solvent; a polymer dispersant; and a dispersion assistant containing a hydrogen bonding functional group, and having a molecular weight lower than that of the polymer dispersant, and a dissolution quantity, for the polar solvent, below 1.0 wt.% in 25°C and the atmospheric pressure. Preferably, in the active material dispersion liquid, when a density difference between non-volatile components in an upper layer portion and a lower layer portion is measured in a specific condition after a centrifugal separation, the density difference is 3 wt.% or less. |
