PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guard fence which can be installed on a ground-covered part of a road with easy work and strongly fixed thereto.SOLUTION: The guard fence which has horizontal rails 4 mounted between columns 3 erected on a ground covering section 2 at the side edge of the road, comprises: base parts 10 onto which the columns 3 are erected and fixed; and reinforcing members 20 formed wider than the base parts 10 while extending in the longitudinal direction of the fence, and adapted to be placed on the ground covering section 2. In the guard fence, each reinforcing member 20 is fixed to the ground covering section 2 with an anchor bolt 40 passing through a through-hole in a horizontal extension portion 20a of the reinforcing member 20, and in this state each base part 10 and each reinforcing member 20 are connected via a connection bolt 30 and a connection nut 31 and fixed to the ground covering section 2 with an anchor bolt 40 passing through through-holes in overlapping portions of the base part 10 and the reinforcing member 20. |
