<p>A method for detecting Ethernet operation, administration and maintenance (OAM) is provided, and includes: sending a command of detecting Maintenance Entity (ME) OAM to a single plate of a Network Element (NE) equipment after a user activates a created ME; receiving the response message sent by the single plate of the NE equipment and obtaining the information of the responding single plate and the monitoring ID information that matches the ME; starting a timer, and detecting whether the predetermined heartbeat detection time is reached or not, if not, detecting whether the OAM detection results which are reported by the single plate of the NE equipment and match the monitoring ID are received or not, if yes, transferring the OAM detection results to a network management interface to display; and if the heartbeat detection time is reached, sending the heartbeat detection message, and detecting whether OAM detection results which are reported by the single plate of the NE equipment and match the monitoring ID are received or not after receiving a heartbeat response message, if yes, transferring the OAM detection results to a network management interface to display. The present invention is suitable for any telecommunications network management system.</p> |
