PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for a counterweight and reduce a dimension in an axial direction of a wheel set, in a carrying device of a railroad wheel set.SOLUTION: A carrying device 1 is a device for lifting and carrying a railroad wheel set 50 with a reducer 51 by holding a tread along a circumference of a wheel from above, and includes: two pairs of holding arms 2a, 2b and 3a, 3b which hold the tread at the lower portion; a lifting frame 4 which holds upper parts of the holding arms 2a, 2b, 3a and 3b in an openable/closable manner; an arm opening/closing mechanism which locks lower end parts of the holding arms 2a, 2b, 3a and 3b by holding the tread of the wheel; and reducer supporting pieces 7 and 8 which are provided at intermediate portions of the holding arms 2a, 2b, 3a and 3b and which support the reducer 51 by wrapping around a lower side of the reducer 51 during operation of the holding arms 2a, 2b, 3a and 3b to hold the tread of the wheel. Accordingly, a counterweight is not required and the dimension in the axle direction can be reduced, and at the same time the wheel set 50 can be safely lifted without damaging an axle 54. |
