In the present invention, in order to automatically report receipt of a reply mail to a broadcast mail to users included in the destination of the broadcast mail, a mail processing unit, upon receiving an electronic mail addressed to a plurality of destinations (a broadcast mail), stores the message ID and the destination thereof in a notification condition table (S46), whereupon if a new electronic mail is received, a determination is made of whether or not the new electronic mail is a reply-all mail to the electronic mail (broadcast mail) of the message ID stored in the notification condition table (S44, S48, and S52). If the assessment is affirmed, the notification condition table is referenced in order to report a mail reception acknowledgement of the new electronic mail to users included in the destination of the broadcast mail (S60). |
