PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoelectric power generation device capable of detecting a failure of an on-off valve without using a dedicated sensor detecting actuation of the on-off valve.SOLUTION: A thermoelectric power generation device 17 comprises: an on-off valve 26 switching an exhaust route of exhaust gas to either one of a bypass passage 25 and a heat receiving passage 22 by opening and closing an inner pipe 21; and an actuator 37 controlling the opening and closing of the on-off valve 26. A CPU, when transmitting an opening signal or a closing signal to the actuator, diagnoses the presence/absence of a failure of the on-off valve 26 on the basis of a voltage value output from a voltage sensor already installed to an auxiliary battery. |
