PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device and a control method of the same capable of notifying a user of earthquake occurrence as soon as possible.SOLUTION: When an earthquake prompt report detector 22 detects an emergency earthquake prompt report or an acceleration sensor 20 detects an acceleration value equal to or larger than a predetermined value G1, a projector 1 sends a notice of the earthquake occurrence. Concretely, a controller 10 instructs an OSD processor 14 to superimpose and display a message image for an alarm about the earthquake occurrence on an input image and instructs a voice synthesis processor 23 to output a voice message for an alarm about the earthquake occurrence. If the acceleration sensor 20 detects an acceleration value equal to or larger than a predetermined value G2(G2>G1), the projector 1 sends a notice of the occurrence of a big earthquake with a message image and a voice message and cuts off commercial power supply. |
