The suction pipe (10) has two heat exchangers (12,14), two fluidic connections (16,18) for supplying two gas mixtures to the two heat exchangers and a third fluidic connection for supplying the partially mixed two gas mixtures to the internal combustion engine. The third fluidic connection is submerged downstream the two heat exchangers. A fourth fluidic connection is provided for supplying a partial flow of the gas mixture to the latter heat exchanger. An independent claim is included for an internal combustion engine with a high-pressure exhaust gas recirculation system.
