Method for Preparing an Injector Device for use and a Kit therefor Abstract There is disclosed a method of preparing an injector device (10) for use. The method comprises the steps of: a) providing a proximal body section (12) having a longitudinal passageway; b) providing a distal nozzle section (14) having a longitudinal passageway; c) providing a shuttle (16) having a longitudinal passageway and an intraocular lens (30) positioned in said shuttle; and d) providing a vial (11) having a cover (1 c) for sealing an open end of said vial, the cover being releasably connected to said shuttle, said cover positioned to seal said shuttle and intraocular lens inside said vial. The method further comprises the steps of: e) removing said shuttle from said vial using said cover; 0 attaching said shuttle to said proximal body section or said distal nozzle using said cover; and g) releasing said vial cover from said shuttle. The invention also extends to a kit for preparing an injector device for use.
