In the present invention, there is disclosed an expression-regulating nucleic acid sequence exhibiting all over its length at least 70 percent identity with the section of nucleotides 1 to 1799 of the sequence SEQ ID No. 1 originating from Chrysosporium microorganism. Further disclosed is a nucleic acid construct comprising said expression-controlling nucleic acid sequence being operatively coupled with a polypeptide-encoding sequence, and a recombinant microbial strain comprising such construct. Also disclosed is a process for producing an encoded polypeptide.
