A vehicle control system (1) includes an internal combustion engine (4) capable of switching an operating state and a non-operating state while a vehicle (2) travels, an engaging device (10) capable of switching a rotating member (10a) on the internal combustion engine (4) side and a rotating member (10b) on a drive wheel (3) side to an engaged state in which a power can be transmitted and to a state in which the engagement is released, and capable of adjusting an engaging force for engaging the rotating member (10a) with the rotating member (10b), and a control device (8) configured to execute engaging force reducing control for reducing an engaging force of the engaging device (10) when an engine rotation speed of the internal combustion engine (4) is a resonance rotation speed in comparison with a case that the engine rotation speed of the internal combustion engine (4) is not the resonance rotation speed. Therefore, the vehicle control system (1) can achieve an effect that a vibration generated to the vehicle (2) can be appropriately suppressed. |
