Polytetrafluoroethene compound with microspheres and fibers

A composition comprising
(i) a perfluorinated tetrafluoroethene polymer containing from 0 to 1.0 % by weight of comonomers;
(ii) fibers containing inorganic oxides selected from silica or alumina and combinations thereof;
(iii) particles containing inorganic oxides selected from silica and alumina and combinations thereof. Further provided are methods of making such compositions and articles prepared from such compositions. The compositions can be used to increase the wear resistance and/or the electrical insulation properties of an article.
