A method and a system for initiating a PoC(PTT(Push To Talk) over Cellular) session having a different answer mode according to each media type are provided to allow a CF to integrately provide the right to talk regardless of an OK answer of each media type of a PoC client in response to a PoC session invitation message. When session participation request message with respect to one or more media types is received from a transmission PoC server, a reception PoC server checks an answer mode of each media type, transmits an automatic answer message with respect to a media set in an automatic answer mode to the transmission PoC server, and transfers the session participation request message to a reception PoC client. When the session participation request message is received, the reception PoC client transmits an answer message including whether to participate in a session or not inputted by a user. When the automatic answer message is received, a transmission PoC server stores information regarding an answer mode of each media type, initiates a PoC session, assigns a talk burst to the transmission PoC client and buffers media transmitted from the transmission PoC client. Thereafter, when the answer message is received from the reception PoC client, the transmission PoC server transfers the buffered media to the reception PoC client. |
