PURPOSE: A present invention is provided to improve productivity by simplifying an assembling process, to manufacture a surface mount type super capacitor providing good junction reliability of a lid to a wiring board, and to give a manufacturing method thereof. CONSTITUTION: A surface mount type super capacitor (100) comprises a wiring board (10) in which a lid junction pattern is formed at an electrode mount region and a circumference of an electrode mount region at a top surface and plural outer connection pads which are connected electrically to an electrode mount region and a lead junction pattern at a top surface, a cell (20) which comprises the first electrode which is welded and connected electrically to an electrode mount region of a wiring board, a separation film formed on the first electrode, the second electrode formed on a separation film, and an electrolyte dipped in the first and the second electrodes, and a lid (40) which covers a cell mounted on a wirinbg board, has a bottom surface welded and connected electrically to the second electrode, has a circumference welded and connected electrically to a lid junction pattern of a wiring board by a tip welding, and seals a cell mount domain.
