PURPOSE: A draining device and a method of a water purifier are provided to cost-effectively manufacture a water purifier by draining ice melted water and cooling water through a single pump and valve. CONSTITUTION: A draining device of a water purifier comprises a first water level sensor (LS1), a control unit (120), and a single pump (P2). The water level sensor detects the water level limit of a first storage tank (100) or a second storage tank (110). The capacity of the second storage tank is higher than the capacity of the first storage tank. The control unit generates a driving voltage in order to drain water from the first or second storage tank from which the water level limit is detected. The pulse width of the driving voltage is generated basted on the capacity of the first or second storage tank.
