The wheel has a connection unit for connecting a rim (1) and a hub of the wheel. Damping units (3a, 3b) are used for damping vibrations and placed in a flat rim band (2). Each damping unit includes a portion made of elastomeric material, where the portion includes a continuous or discontinuous cord, which is arranged on a radial plane. Mass of the elastomeric material deposited is of low density to increase inertia of the wheel. Width and thickness of the cord deposited in the rim band are of about a few millimeters.
